Kanoroth looks like a nightmare: his lower body half seems to be a mockery of a dire lion in a sick green colour, and its upper body half is of a fat demon with gey skin. He has glowing green eyes, a very wide teeth-filled mouth an gigantic horns, which stand like trusks into his face. He has a few black oily hairs and he constantly smells like fresh blood.

Combat

  • Disease (Ex): Kanoroths’ hatred and rage at the multiverse suffuses his very essence. All of his natural attacks are contagious for Festering Anger (p. 30 BoVD). The Fortitude save to avoid infection is DC 40, and the incubation time is 1d4 weeks opposed to the standard year.
  • Fear (Su): With a sneer and a growl (free action), he can invoke a fear effect in 90 ft, radius (Will DC 36 negates) at will.
  • Mighty and tireless rage (Ex): Kanoroth can fly into a rage five times per day. In a rage, Kanoroth temporarily gains a +8 bonus to Strength, a +8 bonus to Constitution, and a +4 morale bonus on Will saves, but he takes a –2 penalty to Armor Class. The increase in Constitution increases Kanoroth’s hit points by 144 points (a total of 1090 hp), but these hit points go away at the end of the rage when his Constitution score drops back to normal. (These extra hit points are not lost first the way temporary hit points are.) While raging, Kanoroth cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except for Balance, Escape Artist, Intimidate, and Ride), the Concentration skill, or any abilities that require patience or concentration, nor can he cast spells or activate magic items that require a command word, a spell trigger (such as a wand), or spell completion (such as a scroll) to function. He can use any feat he has except Combat Expertise, item creation feats, and metamagic feats. A fit of rage lasts for a number of rounds equal to 24. Kanoroth cannot prematurely end his rage. Kanoroth can fly into a rage only once per encounter. Entering a rage takes no time itself, but Kanoroth can do it only during his action, not in response to someone else’s action.
  • Spell-like Abilities: At will—Air Walk, blasphemy, charm monster, darkbolt, deeper darkness, desecrate, detect good, detect law, detect thoughts, discern location, eyebite, insanity, greater dispelling, haste, magic missile, mirror image, telekinesis, teleport without error, tongues (self only), unhallow, unholy aura, unholy blight, wall of fire, water breathing; 2/day—disintegrate, trap the soul, maze; 1/day—firestorm, earthquake, greater ruin (epic spell).   • Summon Tanar‘ ri (Sp): 3/day, Kanoroth can automatically summon 20HD of demons.
  • Possessions: The Flesh Reaver is a +5 souldrinker greatsword of unholy power made of adamant. Any living creature who touches it against Kanoroths’ will must make a Fort save DC 40 or die instantly, those successful still receive 4 negative levels as long as they hold the Reaver. Any creature under 20HD struck by the Reaver must make the save against death as well.
